About Kratz Petroleum

It started back in 1932 with Walter Kratz. Walter managed Tri County Coop in Darfur, Minnesota for 42 years. He was also the Bulk Fuels Driver, dedicated to fulfilling the petroleum needs of his customers.




Del Kratz, Walter's son, managed the Tri-County Coop Gas Station and Service Center for several years near his home town in Comfrey MN. He moved on and became a Welder for Ken Warner Company out of Minneapolis. While there, he switched from welding tanks for the Jobber Market, to selling Tanks and Equipment to the Jobber Market. Three years later, Del moved on again and became an industry sales leader throughout Minnesota, the western half of Wisconsin, and northern half of Iowa for 32 years.


Dave Kratz, Del's son, took over his sales route in 1990 and serviced his customer base for DBI through the year 2000. In 2001, with the help of his father Del, Dave started what is today Kratz Petroleum Equipment Inc.





Shane Jasper, Dave's nephew, is the Senior Sales Executive for Kratz Petroleum Equipment. As with any family run business, Shane is learning all aspect of the company and is continuing to grow and carry on the Kratz Family tradition.





Joshua Kratz, Dave's son, is the newest addition to the team. He will be groomed to help Dave and Shane carry on the dedicated tradition of service that has now become Kratz Petroleum Equipment Inc.
